Retrofitting KBA Curing Systems | Benford UV

We believe we provide the best UV curing systems out there, backed by great personal customer service and commitment. Our customers believe in us and we help them run their print operations as efficiently and trouble free as possible.

A friendly face, many of our customers recognise and look forward to seeing, is Alan Albon, our Installation and Services Manager. He recently returned from a busy trip to USA where his travels and activities illustrate many of our capabilities, successes and company culture.

First stop for Al was this new customer in Michigan, to retrofit a 2 LED UV lamp curing system, at positions 4 and 8, on a KBA 105. This customer is very strong in the high quality special interest magazine publishing segment, with supporting graphic design and marketing services. Previously the customer only had IR lamps on the press and the addition of UV has made the perfecting process easier, faster and with improved overall quality. Installation was trouble free and the IR lamps have remained on the press for use with aqueous coatings.

Next up was the servicing of lamps at a New Jersey customer, where we have 8 conventional UV lamps on a Heidelberg M1000 Web Press, installed about 6 months ago. Lamps were quite dirty and given a full clean, with some of the reflectors changed as well. Some additional training was also provided to increase familiarisation with the system, in particular around changing lamps and keeping them clean.

Finally a courtesy call and general checkup on one of our busiest customers in North Carolina, where we installed a couple of months ago. Their Komori GL  540 UV system has 2 conventional UV lamps at EOP and 6 ID lamps. This print shop is very active in the collectible and trading cards arena as well as direct mailing services, and have an impressive range of post press quality finishing.

So we really can support you wherever you are located, no matter what your press is, and provide great consultative advice to help you plan your future operations, and plans to address new opportunity. Contact us if you have any questions, we would love to help you with any challenge you may have.
