Xmas 2022 Bulletin | Benford UV
To our loyal customers, fantastic suppliers and industry colleagues, all of us at Benford UV wish you a wonderful Xmas and Festive Season.
Whilst it’s been a challenging couple of years, we have overall had a good 2022 with a particularly strong last couple of months. We also continue to expand in new geographies, and with new customers. We appreciate the faith so many of you, have put in our products and capabilities. Our team will continue to grow, but we will continue to show the can do spirit and personalised care and attention that our many customers enjoy so much. We will always go that extra mile to help make them successful.
Finally we hope 2023 will be a prosperous year for you all.
Patricia Estrada Sanchez – Bossing our Design and Project Management Functions
From running the daily project management meeting, to doing the latest customised CAD design for a UV curing system, Patricia is very involved in setting the high standards our customers expect of Benford UV. She joined the company at the end of 2016 as a Junior Design Engineer, and is now the Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager. She is a familiar face to many of our customers , carrying out initial customer surveys to scope and quote on retrofits, as well as sometimes getting her hands dirty on a customer install.
Engineering and printing operations are traditionally very male dominated environments to which she brings a refreshing feminine touch. Patricia can hold her own and customers appreciate her capabilities and opinions. She has loved this discipline since her initial studies at Universidad de Oviedo, from where she graduated in 2009, with Honours in Mechanical Engineering. The job at Benford is great as it also allows her to indulge her love of travel and meeting people. Some of the pictures below show her working hard, as well as enjoying the adventure opportunities, when visiting customers. Outside of work she “relaxes” and “recharges” with plenty of exercise, reading and social activities.
Benford is lucky to have her as part of our very diverse and hard working team, which draws so many of our employees from different parts of the world.
From Maryland to Colorado
Three of our team are just back from the USA, having completed new installations in Maryland and Colorado. The former is a retrofit on a Heidelberg XL105, made up of 2 End of Press Standard UV’s and 2 Interdeck LED UV lamps. This customer already has multiple Benford UV UV curing systems running on a variety of different Heidelberg presses. Colorado was a new customer where we installed 1 End of Press ECO UV Lamp and 2 LED UV Interdeck lamps on a Komori LS640. We will bring you more detail, pictures and customer stories in the next issue in 2023.
