We have been manufacturing our own UV curing lamps for our own UV curing systems for over 35 years, but when Primarc UV discontinued production of UV curing lamps for the UK and US markets in 2024, we purchased the majority of Primarc’s manufacturing capabilities and took on key technical and manufacturing staff at a new lamp making facility in Buckinghamshire (UK).
ULTRAVIOLET LAMPS
Our medium pressure UV lamps are hand made from high quality quartz tube, electrical electrodes, cable, gas and a very small dose of mercury. It is very important that the dose of mercury is correct. If incorrect, the lamp will not work properly.

How to identify your UV curing lamp
Our sales and manufacturing teams collaborate closely to make sure that we produce the exact lamps that our customers need.
If you need help identifying what lamp you need, please contact our specialist team – if you have a reference number, that is usually enough to help us identify your lamp. If you don’t have a reference number, don’t worry, there are several other methods we can use to help find the right lamp for your UV curing system.
If you have a spare, working lamp and you are able to send it to our production team at our new facility, this will allow us to manufacture a new batch of lamps that precisely match the power specification and dimensions of the original.
Alternatively, we can accurately produce lamps from any given specification. To do this, we will need the following information:
- Lamp size (lamp length, diameter, lead length etc.)
- Arc length
- Lamp voltage
- Lamp amperage
- Cap identification and size.
